If you need software to monitor your blog’s visitors you can choose WP-ShortStat plugin. Simply install and activatethe plugin  and you don’t have to configure it. WP-ShortStat can be accessed at any time via your Dashboard.

WP-ShortStat records the number of visitors for a week, including the total of visitors since you install the plugin. In addition you will also find the data about page views, references used by your visitors to find your blog, an so on.

Here are some of the WP-ShortSta’s features:

  • Last Week. The data shown here are the number of visitors (unique), hit, and RSS, for last week.
  • Last Resources. Here you can find which and at what time the pages of your blog were accessed by your visitors.

  • Last Keywords. This is an interesting feature. Here are the keywords were entered by your visitors on some search engines (like Google.com) and then they found your blog. You can click one of the keywords and you’ll be presented with a list of search results for the keywords. Here you can see your blog position in the search result.

  • Last Referers. Here shown a list of websites referred by your visitors to find your blog. You can click and see the websites.

  • Domains. Here shown the number of hits that came from each domain. For example, you will find the total of hits that come from Google.com.
  • Browsers. Here shown the percentage of each browser used by your visitors.
