When your blog attracks a lot of visitors, you have opportunities to earn some money. To grap the opportunities, simply display some ads, such as Google Adsense or affiliation ads.

But remember, you can not display any ads on your blog that you create at WordPress.com. This tutorial is only for you who have built your own blog on a web hosting provider using WordPress software.

Let’s say you will display Google Adsense ads. Go to Google Adsense and sign-in if you have Google’s account, or signing-up if you don’t have one. It is free of charge. Please refer to help or supporting pages if you are a new member.

At Google Adsense you create an “ad code”. By inserting the code on your pages, some ads will be displayed. How to insert the code to your WordPress blog? Here is how.

Login to your WordPress blog admin. Select [Appearance] and click the [Widgets] option. Select a Text widget and insert the ad code inside the widget. Don’t forget to click [Save Changes] when you are done.

Wait 10 to 15 minutes and visit your blog. Your sidebar will display some ads. Each time your visitor click the ads, you will earn some money. Please monitor your ads from your Google Adsense account. There will be some data informing you wether your ads have been clicked by your visitors.

Here is how.

Visit WordPress Theme Generator site. The site will guide you to create your own theme’s design . It is very easy to do. You simply change some design parameters in the left side of the screen. The results of parameters conversion (your design) will be shown on the right side of the screen.

Following is the example of parameters conversion.

To create a title, replace “WP Generator Blog” on [Site name] with your own blog title, for example, “WordPress Tutorial.” Or alternatively, you can use a logo image as your blog title, by entering your image’s URL (address).

To select the color for your title, click the white (empty) box – on the left side of your blog title. Then a color bar will appear as the picture below. Slide the lever on “color bar” (on the right). Click a color on color area and click [SAVE]. It is the color of your choice.
