WordPress provides a variety of settings, starting from the date and hour settings, up to the next level of various managements. Before selecting a new theme and posting first article, you need to do some settings for your WordPress. Here are what you have to do:

• Select [Settings] menu and click [General] option.

• On settings window, fill in your blog title on the [Blog Title] field and description of your title on [Tagline] field. But there are many themes using an image for its title (logo), so whatever you type in will not be visible. In this case, you must create a image logo, or even create header image.
• You need to type your email address, because it will be used to send a notification to you, for example if there is a new comment.
• Don’t forget to fill the time and date formats. They will show up on your blog. Also select your [Timezone]. The time display based on the time zone.
